get more money for beater car

Heyooo,

I m looking for some help on how to make money on my car.

Its a 2006 Honda Accord with 217k miles, bumps and scratches on body, cracked windshield and the back left window doesnt roll up do to the gear being broken.

Major problems - front wheel arms need to be replaced as well as steering column is leaking.

I looked up how much it is worth and it said 500-3.5k. I doubt i can get 3.5k but i just spent 1200 on it to get it to pass inspection and registered in my name.

I would like to at least get the 1200 back from what i spent on it recently.



Would privately selling it, trade-in, or selling it for scrap metal be my best option?

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
